Happy belated Valentine’s Day! I hope you had a really nice V-Day surrounded by people you love and who care about you just the same! I love Valentine’s Day. I’ve always loved it. There’s something about seeing red heart balloons and flowers and boxes of chocolates everywhere that makes me super happy. Valentine’s Day doesn’t always have to be about romantic love, but if you’ve got a partner I do think it’s sweet to do something nice for one another!
This year, I was determined to make my boyfriend a Valentine’s Day gift by hand. Dean and I have been so many places together, I wanted to give him a gift that would allow us to look back at all the fun memories we’ve made. I know Christmas in February is totally out of order, but Dean loves Christmas the most, and I thought hand-painting glass Christmas ornaments would be a perfect way to combine his favorite holiday with a gift that would last. Plus, it would be a cute way to decorate our tree, and we could keep growing the collection year after year!
From our first trip to Disneyland (the date that started it all), to the city of Seattle and across the ocean to Japan, each one of these eight ornaments represents a place we traveled to together. I really tried to capture the spirit of the destination or a memory that stood out with each one I painted. You can take a closer look at the full collection below!
